Ground leaseholds: Storage facilities, Melbourne Victoria – lease and sales
Hardstand continues to be in high demand with some recent deals in Melbourne setting records. Of late we have been seeking temporary storage sites for builders of automated high tech factory lines. These companies have been consulting and building for the new Amazon and Coles factories in Melbourne’s outer west. In terms of space required, the west & north have been our hot spot and it appears not us having been negotiating deals with other recent deals being reported in Brooklyn and Laverton below.
Leased Brooklyn & Laverton
In April of 2018, major container company Cosco leased a 70.0320 sqm site including a 4431 sqm high clearance warehouse & concrete hardstand for what is  now $1,874,545 or about $26 per sqm. Meanwhile in Laverton a hardstand site in May of 2024 with concrete hardstand leased at $65 per sqm and a further design built hardstand at $85 per sqm
